Ancelotti has had enough and makes a request of Florentino: he needs these two signings now

Carlo Ancelotti‘s Real Madrid have several weaknesses that need to be reinforced. The Whites’ defense has been severely weakened by injuries. The main one, and the one that has caused the most headaches, is the right-back position with Dani Carvajal out for a long period of time. Also absent in defense are Eder Militao, out for a long period, and during these weeks Rüdiger and Alaba have also been absent. In the last few hours Lucas Vázquez has been added to that list. Despite these absences, Ancelotti has made do with names like Asencio, Tchouamení, Valverde and Jacobo Ramón.

Where he hasn’t had a replacement and Real Madrid are missing him is with the departure of Toni Kroos. One of Florentino’s mistakes was not to replace the German in the engine room. These two shortcomings in the team make it clear to Carletto where he wants all the efforts to be put in the summer to fill these gaps in the Madrid squad. The Italian coach’s two demands of Florentino are clear: a right back, where Real Madrid have suffered a lot this season, and a reinforcement for the center of the field, since a replacement for Toni Kroos is urgently needed.

Despite Ancelotti’s requests, especially for the right back, the club has not seen any clear movement in January and has preferred to cut its losses and not make any additions in January. As we said, on the wish list, or perhaps more accurately the needs list, Ancelotti had marked in red the signing of a right back and, without a doubt, one name in particular has been linked to Real Madrid in recent weeks: Alexander-Arnold.

The meringues offered 15 million euros on New Year’s Eve, but Liverpool did not even consider the offer. We will have to wait a few months to see if the right back finally arrives at the Bernabéu as everything seems to indicate. However, it is true that the Premier League team is not giving up and is trying to renew the defender’s contract to prevent him from heading to the Paseo de la Castellana.
