Real Madrid chiefs remain convinced Raphael Varane will leave this summer.

Varane is about to enter the final year of his Real Madrid deal and has so far baulked at new contract talks with the Spanish giants.

Manchester United are keen and are said to have tabled a contract offer to Varane's minders worth €12m-a-season.

And El Chiringuito's Josep Pedrerol reports Real directors accept the France defender will leave in the coming months.

This despite the opinion of new coach Carlo Ancelotti, who has requested Varane or Sergio Ramos be kept on next season. Ramos' deal will expire at the end of the month.

If nothing can be agreed, Ancelotti hopes to convince Varane to stay by offering him Ramos' captaincy.
