Known as Gudi, the 19 year-old scored his first goal for his country in their win against Lichtenstein. The previous weekend, he won a penalty and scored for Castilla in their 2-2 draw against Atlético Baleares.

Gudi is the son of former Barcelona, Bolton Wanderers and Chelsea striker Eidur Gudjohnsen, though standing at 1.88m plays more as a centre-forward than his father. So far this season, Gudi has scored five goals in five Castilla appearances in the Primera Division RFEF.

Real coach Carlo Ancelotti has been impressed and AS says the Italian is considering a first team promotion.

Gudi's younger brother Daniel, 15, is also on Real's books and plays for the Cadet team.
