As the January transfer window heats up, Chelsea’s name are continuing to be mentioned alongside potential new strikers and players.

They are even now being linked to one of their former centre backs too in the shape of Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace, with one report claiming that Chelsea are now in poll position to sign him this month.

Sources: Two Bournemouth defenders ‘ones to watch’ for Chelsea in January, Joao Felix staying, Goalkeeper on hold, more…

But it is strikers who also continue to be mentioned in various reports, with Wolves forward Mattheus Cunha the latest name to be thrown in linked with Chelsea. They aren’t yet serious about their interest apparently, but they are certainly keen and watching Cunha, per the report.

And as well as all of that, there is another exclusive report that has surfaced in the last couple of days that is suggesting Chelsea are keen on loaning in a Premier League striker this month, and there may well be an opportunity pending that will allow them to do so.

Chelsea keen on Ferguson

Ferguson attracting interest

The Blues have most certainly been linked with Brighton striker Evan Ferguson before in recent times, and they are now once again being thrown in the hat as a potential suitor now.

TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has apparently been informed that while a number of Premier League clubs are ready to open talks about completing a loan move for Evan Ferguson in January, West Ham are the only side to have made contact with Brighton.

But he also says that Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are all keeping tabs on Ferguson’s situation this month.

Brighton are now apparently considering whether to let him leave on loan and then include options in any potential deal such as making the move permanent.

So maybe one to watch for later in the window if Chelsea decide they want a new striker in the door this month.
