Pachuca and América would battle once again in the 2007 Clausura final, with the Tuzos winning 3-2 on aggregate, having won 2-1 in the Estadio Azteca in the first leg.

The only time the Eagles would come out victorious was in the 2012 Clausura quarter-finals, advancing 3-2 on aggregate before losing to Monterrey in the semis.

Pachuca would exact their revenge in the 2015 Clausura quarters, winning 7-5 on aggregate (3-2, 4-3), though they would lose in the semis.

Of course, they most recently went toe-to-toe in the 2021 Guard1anes quarter-finals, with Pachuca advancing 5-5 via away goals before losing to eventual champions Cruz Azul in the semis.
