Club América secured a 6-1 victory in a behind-closed-doors friendly with MLS side Houston Dynamo on Wednesday, getting another 90 minutes of football under their belt in the opening weeks of the season.

There was plenty of rotation from head coach Fernando Ortiz on the day, with the goals coming from Miguel Layún, Roger Martínez, Brian Rodríguez, and Esteban Lozano.

With the upcoming Liga MX clash with Santos Laguna in the minds of the América coaching staff, Federico Viñas trained separately in an effort to recover from his ankle injury suffered in the opening weeks of the campaign.

Currently sitting in 7th place, only three points out of first after just four games in the Clausura, the Eagles will hope to keep the momentum rolling at the Estadio Nuevo Corona on Saturday.
