América to extend Luis Fuentes' contract | OneFootball

Luis Fuentes managed to earn his renewal with América as the Mexican defender will continue with the Eagles for at least one more year.

At a press conference, the former Rayados player thanked all the people who trusted him and reiterated that his contractual situation is about to be completed soon.

“We are happy and I am grateful that they have trusted me, with a manager who has given me his support.

“I hope that I have fulfilled everyone’s expectations to continue being there.

“The contractual issue is yet to be defined but whatever it is I will do my best for this institution until the last day.”

The 34-year-old, who originally joined on loan from Xolos before signing a deal last summer, has featured 42 times for the club, starting every match since matchweek nine of the 2020 Guard1anes.
