Those players not with their respective national teams were involved in Friday’s 1-0 friendly defeat to Pumas in Los Angeles.

Las Águilas are enjoying an excellent campaign under the guidance of manager Santiago Solari, and they currently top the Apertura table by three points from Atlas.

América have just five more league games left in the regular season, and look odds on to remain in the top four and gain automatic qualification to La Liguilla.

They also have the small matter of a Concacaf Champions League final against Monterrey to look forward to on 28 October.

But Solari will no doubt want his charges focused on the trip to Atlético San Luis on Saturday when club action resumes.
