Club América had to wait until the last day of the transfer market to announce their latest addition for the 2021 Guard1anes campaign.
On Monday, the Eagles announced the acquisition of Spanish central midfielder Álvaro Fidalgo from second-division side CD Castellón.
The 23-year-old was signed after a direct request from manager Santiago Solari, who managed him when Fidalgo played for Real Madrid Castilla.
Fidalgo left the Real Madrid system to join Castellón last August after eight years at the club. The Spain youth international made one first-team appearance for Los Blancos, featuring 91 times (15 goals, eight assists) for their Castilla side.
