Club América continue their negotiations with Chilean club Colo Colo over the future of Pablo Solari.
The Mexican club, however, has seen its initial bid rejected and may have to change their approach if they want to secure the winger’s signature.
As such, reports in Mexico and Chile claim América are now keen to offer up Mauro Laínez as part of the deal.
Additionally, the 26-year-old winger is seen as a ‘Plan B’ option for Colo Colo if they cannot secure their first-choice reinforcements in the wake of potentially losing Solari.
During the 2021-22 campaign, Laínez made 25 appearances for América registering one goal and two assists in the process.
