América are reportedly one of two teams who have submitted offers for Atlas striker Julián Quiñones.
The 25-year-old Colombian has been an integral part of recent success for La Academia, as they were crowned Clausura champions on Sunday on the back of their Apertura title last year.
But it seems that Quiñones has decided to move on, and Atlas are already scouring the South American market to find a suitable replacement.
Reports over the weekend suggested that América are ready to double the player’s wages to convince him to link up with Fernando Ortiz’s Azulcrema.
TUDN has backed up those claims, and is reporting that Monterrey have also made formal contact about acquiring the former Colombia U-20 international.
Quiñones was signed by Tigres in 2016, but he struggled to prove his worth at the Estadio Universitario.
It has been an entirely different experience for him with Los Rojinegros, contributing 14 goals and nine assists in 42 games.
Should he agree a deal with Las Águilas, Quiñones would face familiar faces on the opening day of the 2022 Apertura on 2 July when América entertain Atlas.
