After the controversial move to Chivas by former América captain, Oribe Peralta, it looks like América has already found his replacement.
As Las Águilas began their preseason work this weekend, the club’s official Instagram account showed a photo of Alejandro Díaz, who wore the number 24 previously worn by the former América captain.

Diaz, who was on loan with Atlas Guadalajara since June of 2018, was featured in 13 matches for the LigaMX side, and will look to be a contributor to América as they look to start the 2019 Apertura on the right foot.
