Guillermo ‘Memo’ Ochoa’s days at América could be numbered as sides on both sides of the Atlantic consider moving for the veteran goalkeeper.
MARCA are reporting that Spanish side Mallorca are interested in signing the 36-year-old, with manager Javier Aguirre keen to link up with his countryman.
Los Piratas narrowly avoided relegation from LaLiga last season, and are on the lookout for a reliable stopper to help push them up the table next term
The Ochoa connection comes on the back of several reports that a number of MLS franchises would also like to add the Mexico international to their respective rosters.
His current contract with the Azulcrema, which makes him one of the highest paid players in Liga MX, runs until the end of the year.
Ochoa has experience of Spanish football having played for both Málaga and Granada during his previous spell in Europe.
Should he depart the Estadio Azteca, América could bring Agustín Marchesín back to the club as a replacement.
