América demolish Atlante 10-1 in friendly match | OneFootball

Club América are clearly not taking any time off despite having another full week before they take part in this season’s Liguilla.

The Eagles took part in a friendly match against second-division foes Atlante on Thursday, a club who were virtually playing completely with substitutes as they took part in their semi-final first leg on Wednesday.

To the shock of many, Atlante took the lead 15 minutes into the game, a goal that certainly woke up the América players.

In the end, the match ended in a whopping 10-1 rout with goals from Juan Otero (3), Federico Viñas (2), Roger Martínez (2), Jordan Silva, Jonathan dos Santos. and an Atlante own goal.

While the match was essentially a training game, Otero, Viñas, Martínez, and many others will surely be injected with a boost of confidence, while the club continued their seemingly-unstoppable momentum.
