Mexico international Néstor Araujo may be on his way back to Liga MX in the near future.
According to a report from TUDN, both América and Tigres are in the race for the 30-year-old’s signature.
The defender currently plays with Celta Vigo in Spain and both clubs are “aware of the defender’s intention to stay” building up to the 2022 World Cup.
However, that has not slowed any pursuits with América and Tigres having each submitted offers reportedly including higher wages than he currently has in Spain.
Araujo currently has one year left on his contract at Celta Vigo, where he made 34 appearances in 2021-22.
