The negotiations for Guido Rodríguez are entering the final stretch and everything indicates that the Club América superstar will be travelling to Europe to seal his transfer to Real Betis.

According to several Mexican sources, América and Betis have agreed to a €9m ($10m) deal for the two-time Liga MX MVP, with América retaining 20% of the player’s economic rights.

Real Betis manager Rubi confirmed that negotiations are in their final stage.

“We have two people from the club working there to see if the deal can be completed,” he said.

“It is not a done deal yet, but we are working on it. I will not be informed until the end.”

Rodríguez will link up with former América team-mate Diego Lainez, who has only been sparingly used this season and could go on loan for the second half of the campaign.
