AC Milan have demonstrated that they have the determination and the strength of character to respond in moments of difficulty, according to Massimo Ambrosini.

Milan put defeats against Fiorentina and Sassuolo behind them with a 3-0 win over Genoa on Wednesday night, and they followed it up with another win and a clean sheet against Salernitana today. Franck Kessie opened the scoring inside five minutes, and the lead was doubled thanks to a lovely curling shot from Alexis Saelemaekers.

Ambrosini spoke about the Rossoneri after the game against Salernitana at San Siro today, where he was working as a pundit for DAZN.

“Milan have shown that they are healthy, they had a difficult moment but have overcome it. Now they will face Liverpool in the best mental condition, a little less physically, but Milan are doing well,” he said (via PianetaMilan).

“Compared to last year, there is more balance in the league. Last year AC Milan were knocked down by 3-4 games that pushed them away from Inter. I don’t know if the Rossoneri will still have a period like this and even if there will be a team capable of detach all the others. Pioli expected more teams fighting for the Scudetto, but at this rate it was really tough.”

Brahim Diaz looked back to his dynamic self as he facilitated a lot of the build-up play during the victory over Salernitana, but he missed one glorious opportunity to get his name on the scoresheet as his search to break a scoring drought of sorts continues.

“An attacking player must score. He creates many opportunities to score, his growth also includes learning to take advantage of more on certain occasions. One who takes Milan’s 10 means he has personality,” Ambrosini added (via MilanNews).
