Ambitious newly-promoted Spanish club interested in Hakim Ziyech | OneFootball

Elche made the news by targeting a loan deal for Tyrell Malacia. It now seems the Spaniards also want Hakim Ziyech. The Moroccan international played for Al-Duhail in Qatar for the past six months, but is a free agent.

Voetbal International’s Joost Blaauwhof has reported that Elche seem open to the idea of signing Ziyech, whose contract this summer.

Elche and Ziyech have reportedly both inquired about each other, but “the gap between supply and demand remains significant”. The Spanish club don’t normally pay large salaries, so the parties will either have to compromise or explore other options.

Blaauwhof concludes, saying that “because Ziyech is a free agent, he can be signed even after the transfer window. For now, the left-footer isn’t willing to make huge financial concessions, especially since there’s no time pressure and interest in the former Ajax player is growing from various quarters.”
