Everton have reached an agreement with Lille for the transfer of Amadou Onana and the midfielder will soon undergo a medical with the Toffees, 90min understands.
Frank Lampard's side have upped their transfer market activity in recent weeks following a slow start to the summer, recently bringing in Dwight McNeil for £20m and Ruben Vinagre on loan to soften the exit of Richarlison.
Onana had been the subject of interest from West Ham, who had agreed a €40m deal with Lille for the Belgian midfielder.
However, Everton have stolen ahead and a medical is expected to take place on Saturday as the Merseyside club aim to get the deal done.
They are also close to bringing Idrissa Gueye back to Goodison Park from Paris Saint-Germain, while an approach has been made for Wolves defender Conor Coady.
90min understands that Wolves are keen to keep the England international but will not stand in his way if he requests an exit.
With Everton kicking off their Premier League campaign on Saturday against Chelsea, the club are hopeful of concluding deals for Onana, Gueye and Coady in timely fashion.
