Amad Diallo's future at Manchester United looks to be uncertain, with a number of clubs keen on signing the forward in January.

The Ivory Coast international joined Manchester United from Atalanta in a reported initial £19 million deal in 2021, although the winger has only managed to play 9 times for his club since joining the Red Devils.

He hasn't played at all this season, and United look keen to loan him out in January with a number of clubs interested in his services, following a successful spell on loan at Sunderland last season.

3 Sunderland target Amad Diallo return on loan

Sunderland are reportedly interested in bringing Diallo back to the club in January, following the Ivorian's disappointing season at United so far.

The winger spent a season on loan at the Stadium of Light last year, and impressed in a variety of positions for the Black Cats.

Whether deployed out wide, behind the striker or up front, Diallo was always a key member of the side. In 37 matches in the Championship he scored 14 and assisted 4 times as Sunderland lost in the play-off semi-finals to Luton Town.

According to Football Insider sources, both Sunderland and Leicester City have registered interest in the Ivory Coast international, although neither club has been named as the front-runner to sign the youngster.

2 Ipswich and Southampton want Diallo to continue their promotion push

As well as Sunderland, other Championship clubs are also interested in bringing in Amad Diallo on loan. Despite his lack of game time this season due to injury, his performances for Sunderland clearly show that he is a good player for this level, and could be an effective loan signing in the January transfer window.

Ipswich are searching for an attacker after an injury to attacker George Hirst has left them without one of their most productive players, with Diallo targeted to take over the role up front.

According to Darren Witcoop, Ipswich are keeping tabs on Diallo as a potential replacement for Hirst, although face competition from Southampton in securing his signature on loan.

While the Ivorian is not traditionally a striker, he played the role on occasions for Sunderland last season so could step up to the plate if required. However, the club may want to target a more traditional forward to play in their system, with Fulham striker Jay Stansfield a target.

1 Everton head up Premier League interest in the winger

As well as some of the top club's in the EFL, Diallo is also attracting significant interest from various Premier League clubs.

Les Bons Conceil Du Sports editor Seb Ecrivain has stated that Everton are among a host of Premier League clubs interested in signing the young winger, alongside Crystal Palace and Wolves.

The Toffees could be in line to secure Diallo on a loan deal in the New Year to bolster their front line. His ability to play all across the front three would give Everton more cover for their starting eleven as they battle against relegation, following a 10 point deduction this season.

Everton have had issues with Financial Fair Play this season leading to their sanctions, so exploring a loan deal would go a long way to helping secure their finances for the future instead of paying a transfer fee for the player.

Diallo hasn't played for United since sustaining a knee injury in pre-season, but the Red Devils are "willing" to listen to loan offers for the Ivorian, who has been included in the preliminary squad for the African Cup of Nations in January.
