Manchester United are reportedly set to revamp their core 22-man squad as midfielder Jesse Lingard is set to make way for new-signing Amad Diallo.

Diallo, 18, joined United during deadline day of last summer’s transfer window, however, due to work permit issues, the teenager had to wait until this month to complete his move, as per ManUtd.

However, now in Manchester and already training with his side’s senior first-team, expectations remain high for the talented young attacker.

It is not yet known when fans can expect to see their new wonder-kid make his debut, however, there are suggestions that it will be sooner rather than later.

United are set to enter another crucial period of fixtures and will be desperate to have as much quality options at their disposal as possible.

However, as Diallo is set to come in, something has to give.

According to a recent report from MEN, the club’s hierarchy are set to axe midfielder Lingard from their 22-man squad in an attempt to fit Diallo in.

Lingard’s United future has been the subject to much speculation after the Englishman has struggled for regular playing-time.

However, after this most recent report, expect the rumour mill to be turned up a notch.
