Amad Diallo has named the two Manchester United players who will be key to helping his adaptation and has outlined his lofty ambitions after completing a move to Old Trafford.

Diallo finalised a move – which could be worth up to £37 million – from Atalanta last week after a deal had been agreed during the summer window, the Red Devils having secured the signing of the promising winger following his exciting emergence in Italian football.

The 18-year-old is now set to join up with his new teammates but will be given time to settle by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and the youngster has revealed the two players he will be looking to for advice.

Diallo confirmed he has already ‘been in touch’ with fellow Ivorian Eric Bailly about his move to Manchester, and has named the centre-back and Paul Pogba as the two players he will look towards for guidance as he adapts to the Premier League.

“Absolutely, Eric will be a definite reference point for me,” he told manutd.com. “I’ve actually already been in touch with him over the last few months and we’ve been chatting.

“I’ll be asking him for advice and will be listening to all he says, and also the other players who speak French and Italian like [Paul] Pogba for example, he will be another good reference point for me.”

Manchester United are expected to take a patient approach with the talented teenager, though Diallo has outlined his intentions after making the move to England and has revealed his desire to win major trophies.

“I’m a little bit too anxious to say this given it’s just the start [of my time here] but my dream is to win the Premier League and the Champions League with Manchester United. That is my aim and goal.”
