Despite not being on the scoresheet, it was Diallo who stole the show in yet another scintillating performance from the winger.

The Ivorian registered 90 touches of the ball during the time he was on the pitch.

Diallo also had a pass accuracy rate of 88% and also completed one successful cross.

The United loanee made six key passes in what was an attacking masterclass from him. He also registered a single shot on target that required Ryan Allsop to immediately intervene.

Out of the five dribbles Diallo embarked on, he was successful on four occasions.

The 20-year-old was superb defensively as Tony Mowbray’s men kept a clean sheet. Diallo won eight of the 10 ground duels he delved into.

Against Cardiff, Diallo showed again why he deserves a genuine shot at breaking into the United first team next season.

The Peoples Person reported that he is likely to receive this opportunity. The expected loan departures of Anthony Elanga and Facundo Pellistri will pave the way for Diallo to feature in Erik ten Hag’s plans and make an impact.

The Daily Mail’s Simon Jones also reported this and confirmed that Diallo will be afforded the chance to impress Ten Hag and make his mark in the senior squad.

The forward recently spoke about his ambition and goals for the future. He said, “I haven’t shown my best for them yet, but I hope next season I can return and prove my talent. My dream is to play regular football at Manchester United.”

Diallo is certainly inching closer to achieving his dream.
