Amad Diallo has confirmed reports he is expected to miss the rest of Manchester United's season through injury.
Multiple sourced revealed on Saturday that the Ivory Coast international suffered ankle ligament damage in training which risks keeping him out of the final months.
Diallo has become an integral figure for Rúben Amorim's side, racking up six goals in 14 appearances including a late hat-trick to seal a win over Southampton.
The forward took to Instagram to break his silence on the situation.
"Extremely disappointed to be writing this message in such a crucial time of the season," Diallo wrote.
"Unfortunately, I will be out for some time with an injury. I will come back stronger than ever!!
"Time to support the boys from the outside. Still loads to play for."
Diallo's lay-off arrives at a time when the Red Devils are already contending with selection issues after three other players also picked up training ground injuries.
Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte and Tom Collyer are all expected to miss Sunday's trip to Tottenham while Diallo's absence leaves United short on wide options.
