HOUSTON – The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup is in the history books following Mexico’s 2-1 win over the United States in the final on Sunday at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

The ten-time Gold Cup winners led the way with top performances, including the following players who earned individual distinctions.

Best Player Award, presented by Aramco: Edson Álvarez

Edson Álvarez received the Best Player Award, presented by Aramco, for his involvement in helping Mexico win a record 10th Concacaf Gold Cup title. Álvarez was instrumental throughout the campaign, starting and captaining the team in each of its six matchups, playing the full ninety in each of them.

The Mexican midfielder also contributed two goals and an assist, including the title-clinching goal in the Final.

Best Goalkeeper Award, presented by Rexona: Luis Malagón

Luis Malagón was recognized as the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament for his outstanding performances for champions Mexico. He was an instrumental figure for the team with four clean sheets in six appearances.

Malagón helped El Tricolor to clean sheets against Suriname and Costa Rica in the Group stage, followed by keeping Saud Arabia and Honduras scoreless in the Quarterfinals and Semifinals, respectively.

Top Goal Scorer, presented by Aramco: Ismael Díaz

Ismael Díaz finished the tournament with six goals to claim the Top Goal Scorer Award, presented by Aramco. The Panamanian striker notably netted a hat trick against Jamaica in his nation’s third Group Stage fixture.

Díaz had two multi-goal games in the 2025 Gold Cup, scoring a brace against Guadeloupe in the team’s tournament opener, and scoring three goals against Jamaica.

Young Player Award, presented by Aramco: Olger Escobar

Olger Escobar of Guatemala is the winner of the Young Player Award, presented by Aramco.

The attacker featured in all five matches for Los Chapines in the 2025 Gold Cup and registered two goals, including a goal in the Semifinals against USA. He became the youngest Central American scorer at a Gold Cup at 18 years and 9 months with his goal in the team’s 3-2 win against Guadeloupe in the Group Stage.

Fair Play Award, presented by Degree: United States

The United States earned the Fair Play Award, presented by Degree as the team that best conducted themselves throughout the tournament.
