United came from behind to beat Thomas Frank’s side 2-1 at Old Trafford.

Fernandes was influential as he registered his second assist in the league this season.

United have now provided more positive news by confirming that Yoro has returned for individual training on the grass at Carrington.

The skipper wasted no time posting his reaction to the news. Fernandes took to Instagram to share the latest video of Yoro’s progress on the pitch, with the caption: ‘Almost time’.

While the French youngster joined from Lille in a £52m deal in the summer, United fans are waiting patiently to see him make his competitive debut in a red shirt.

United fought off interest from Real Madrid in the summer and it is believed that we signed one of the best young defenders in the world.

Of course, we will be judge of that over time, but Yoro is a young player with a long future ahead of him at Old Trafford.

Nobody is expecting the 18-year-old to start games immediately, but there is a strong chance that he will initially step in as cover for both Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez. That role is currently occupied by veteran defender Jonny Evans.
