Eredivisie giants Ajax look a shadow of themselves this season, an idea all but solidified on Sunday.
FC Twente cruised past the puzzled-looking visitors, who were down by two goals after 11 minutes for the first time in the league since 2008.
Brian Brobbey pulled one back, but substitute Naci Ünüvar was one-on-one against goalkeeper Jay Gorter and chipped home the insurance marker in front of a roaring crow.
It was his first league goal that also arrived against his boyhood club.
The result means Twente maintained their perfect winning record from four games and sit at the top of the table with PSV.
Meanwhile, the 36-time Dutch champions have fallen from grace and sit 12th out of 18 clubs, dropping seven points from their first four games.
They are currently two points above relegation and seven off the top spot. It could take a big push to turn around this poor start to the season, and they have the Europa League next.
