Newcastle United will lock horns with Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Saturday afternoon as they looked to secure all three points on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies managed to secure an impressive 3-1 win away at Aston Villa recently which should give them a ton of confidence ahead of this game.

Eddie Howe will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to name a strong first team for this game. Miguel Almiron will get a chance to play from the start of this game as Alexander Isak is unlikely to recover in time for this contest away at Luton Town.

Defence

Martin Dubravka will feature in between the sticks for the Magpies after he conceding one goal in his last league appearance. Fabian Schar will operate alongside Sven Botman at the heart of the Newcastle backline as they look to keep things solid on the defensive end of the pitch.

Kieran Trippier will continue to play as the right-back while Dan Burn hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.

Emil Krafth will be named on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.

Midfield

Lewis Miley, Bruno Guimaraes and Sean Longstaff will make up Newcastle’s midfield as they try to dominate the game at the centre of the park. All three of them need to be at their best if Newcastle are to come away with a victory from Kenilworth Road this weekend.

Matt Ritchie will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if needed.

Attack

Jacob Murphy will function as the left-sided wide player while Miguel Almiron looks to catch the eye on the right flank. Both of them need to find a way to stretch the opponent’s defence so that they can engineer enough chances in the final third.

Anthony Gordon will lead the charge for the Tyneside club in the final third. He would be eager to put in an impressive display for Newcastle this Saturday.

Lewis Hall will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to influence the game in the latter stages if the Magpies are in need of a goal by then.
