Newcastle United will clash heads with AC Milan at San Siro this Tuesday evening as they try to secure a win in the UEFA Champions League. The Magpies secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Brentford recently, so they will go into this game full of confidence.
Eddie Howe will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and might make a few changes to his first XI for this game. Miguel Almiron, Alexander Isak and Sandro Tonali will get an opportunity to impress from the start of this clash at San Siro.
Nick Pope will function in goal for Newcastle after earning a clean sheet in his last outing. Fabian Schar will continue to play alongside Sven Botman at the centre of Howe’s defence as they focus on stopping the home team from scoring during the game.
Kieran Trippier will look to give a good account of himself as the right-back while Dan Burn fills in on the other flank as the left-back. Howe will ask both of them to be solid defensively so that they can restrict the opposition from creating too many problems from the wide areas.
Jamaal Lascelles will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield
Sean Longstaff, Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali will make up the Tyneside club’s midfield. Their main job would be to get a stranglehold in the game and make life tough for the opposition at the centre of the park.
Elliot Anderson will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if needed.
Attack
Anthony Gordon would look to put in a good showing as the left-winger while Miguel Almiron tries to put his pace to good use on the right flank.
Alexander Isak will lead the charge for the Magpies down the middle. He was rested against Brentford and would be eager to make a difference for Newcastle in this Champions League contest at San Siro.
