Milan striker Luka Romero would seem to be going out on loan in January, but Almeria are trying to battle Boca Juniors for his signature.
The forward joined the Rossoneri over the summer of 2023 as a free agent from Lazio and before that spent time in the youth academy of RCD Mallorca.
He made just five appearances for Milan this season between Serie A and the Coppa Italia, so is on the market to get more regular playing time.
Reports in Argentina remain confident that the 19-year-old would prefer a return to his homeland for Boca Juniors.
However, Spanish side Almeria are also showing strong interest and negotiating for a loan spell.
Transfer expert Matteo Moretto is confident that Romero would not be against Almeria, although obviously he would favour Boca if the choice were left to him.
It is not clear if there would also be an option to buy at the end of the season.
