On squad news

“Di Maria and Chiesa available from the first minute will be difficult. We think they will be able to come on off the bench.”

On Vlahović’s drought

“Obviously, Vlahović was disappointed because he hasn’t managed to score recently, but he’s in good shape, he’s doing well and I think the goals will come soon.”

On potential lineups

“Playing with Vlahović and Kean is a possible solution. I have to evaluate Di Maria and Chiesa’s conditions and then I’ll decide tomorrow.

“We are evaluating the possibility of playing De Sciglio in a back three, both from the start or during the game.”

On the season so far

“We have scored 53 points on the field, there are 12 games left in the championship and we should try to finish in the top four, regardless of the external situation.

“In Europe we came out of the Champions League, but we have the possibility of progressing in a competition difficult with important teams such as United, Roma and Freiburg. We have to take a small step at a time, we will take stock at the end of the season: balances are uncertain, we need to take one game at a time.”

“Winning the Europa League would be like winning the Champions League? Let’s not go any further, let’s take a small step at a time, let’s start going to the quarterfinals”.

On Freiburg

“Tomorrow we have to play where we have to score goals, 1-0 draw isn’t enough and thinking about defending the 0-0 draw is difficult. We’ll need a lot of order”.

“Freiburg are a tricky team in different situations. We must not make mistakes, stay organised and concentrated for 100 minutes.”

“The team is physically ready. It’s been four days since our last match. We will have to be good at containing our energy in view of the game against Inter.”
