Juventus return to Uefa Champions League action on Wednesday as they host Maccabi Haifa and manager Massimiliano Allegri has been speaking to the media ahead of the game.
Here’s what he had to say.
“I still have to decide the line-up. At the moment the tactical part is not important, we have to follow up on Sunday’s performance and continue to improve our mentality during the match.
“In moments of difficulty, the simplest thing is to play our normal game, as a team, with compactness, without rushing and being anxious about winning.”
“I am very happy for Federico Chiesa, also because returning to the group after so much solitary training is reassuring. Now we will gradually proceed to re-insert him into the team.”
“Di María is much better, even physically, he had a few days to recover from his condition. His leg looks a bit better and I’m sure he’ll have a good match tomorrow.”
“You need to have great respect for Maccabi, they are a well-organised team, they press a lot and are capable of putting any team in difficulty.”
“I wanted to greet and send a big hug to Gonzalo Higuain. Watching Gonzalo play was a great pleasure. I wish him good luck and thank him for everything he has done on the football field.”
