Rangers have inducted Allan McGregor, James Tavernier and Steven Davis into their Hall of Fame.

The Scottish Premiership club rewarded the trio for their contribution and commitment over the years.

The last time Rangers inducted players into their prestigious Hall of Fame was in 2014.

The first time was in 1999 and the Ibrox club deemed McGregor, Tavernier and Davies worthy of joining the legendary and exclusive list.

The Light Blues put a lot of factors into consideration before inducting a player.

They include how long a player has been with the club, his total number of games, trophies won, number of international appearances and exceptional abilities displayed.

McGregor started his career at Rangers after spending three years in their academy.

The veteran goalkeeper made 278 appearances for the Gers before leaving for Besiktas after the club’s liquidation in 2012. McGregor returned to Ibrox in 2018 and has since featured in 215 games.

The 41-year-old has won four league titles, four Scottish Cups and five Scottish League Cups with the club.

He is in the final year of his contract and could sign another extension, having shown no signs of slowing down. McGregor made 42 appearances for Scotland before retiring in 2018.

Davis first joined Rangers on loan in 2008 from Fulham before making the move permanent seven months later. The midfielder also left after the club went into administration in 2012.

He returned to his boyhood club in 2019 and has amassed 371 games across both spells. The Northern Ireland international has scored 28 goals for the Light Blues.

The 38-year-old has won four titles, three Scottish Cups and three Scottish League Cups. Davis’ 140 international caps are the most by a Northern Irish and British player.

Tavernier has been at Rangers since 2015 and was named captain in 2018. The English right-back has registered 95 goals and claimed 86 assists in 387 games.

He has won one Premiership title, one Championship title and one Scottish Cup. Tavernier will go down in history as a Gers legend due to his contributions to the club.

The 31-year-old has never been called up by England at any level, but it takes nothing away from his huge achievements at club level.

Rangers’ Hall of Fame hangs above the grand marble staircase in the Ibrox main stand, and the trio would be proud to have their names there.
