Paul Scholes launches a passionate attack on Manchester United star Paul Pogba

Speaking to Premier League Productions (h/t The Sun), Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has launched a rant at Paul Pogba for his near-awful performance against Liverpool.

The 28-year-old’s future has been filled with uncertainty, and there are question marks as to whether he will leave Old Trafford as a free agent at the end of the season. However, despite all of this, Pogba was producing incredible performances for the Red Devils on the field.

While that was the case, the French international was sent for an early shower against Liverpool after he was shown a red card for his rough challenge on Naby Keita. To put it into perspective, the midfielder had just come into the game at half-time and was at fault for the Reds scoring their fifth goal before gettting sent of within 15 minutes.

Club legend Paul Scholes later explained his fury at the player and questioned whether he will be seen in a United jersey again. One of the club’s best ever stars, the Ginger Price knows full well what it takes to dominate midfield in United colours.

“Paul Pogba coming on to the pitch at halftime to try to help the team and maybe get a little respectability about it tries to stand on the ball, tries to show how strong he is in the middle of the pitch… gives the goal away.”

Scholes has gone on to question if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will show faith in the player anytime soon. Given his performance at Old Trafford yesterday, there is little reason for the Norwegian to do so.

“You’d have to think if Ole’s still a manager there, will we see Pogba again in a United shirt?.. But with all the commotion, not signing his contract, almost holding the club to ransom, and then he comes on and does something like that.”

As thing stand, Pogba is a liability to United if he fails to perform on the pitch. More so the uncertainity surrounding his contract makes him a distraction off the field as well. Threr is little reason to keep a player around if he offers the club nothing.

The Frenchman was dropped from the starting line-up for the second consecutive game after his disastrous display against Leicester City last weekend.

The central midfielder will now be facing a three-game ban and will miss the games against both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City in the next two weeks. He has let the club down in more ways than one.
