Bayern Munich netted four goals in their final pre-season game on Wednesday.

The German champions faced a stern test with 2. Bundesliga side Hamburg already two weeks into their season. The hosts started sharply and took a deserved 1-0 lead through Khaled Nahrey.

However, Bayern responded strongly.

Hamburg, though, did not allow the turnaround to dampen their spirits and continued to make the game competitive after the break.

A number of substitutions impacted the flow of the game negatively before Thomas Müller made it 3-1 to Bayern.

Müller’s Bundesliga debut for Bayern came against Hamburg exactly 10 years ago and his anniversary celebrations didn’t end there: the Germany international added a fourth before the final whistle.
