Real Madrid return to Champions League action with a clash against Napoli on matchday two in the Group Stage (9:00pm CEST). After rising to the top of the table in LaLiga, tonight our team take on their next challenge: clinching top spot in Group C. Having beaten Union Berlin in their competition opener (1-0)Ancelotti's boys kick off the round in second, level on points with Napoli, who hit one more goal in their first game.

Our team are fully focused on clinching the three points, but it won't be easy, especially given the venue. The Diego Armando Maradona Stadium is set to host what will be the fifth match-up between the two sides in Europe's elite competition. The record reads favourably for Real Madrid to date, with three wins and a draw. “We have to put on a disciplined, complete display to get a good result," explained Ancelotti in the pre-match press conference. Valverde also spoke to the press, stating: “We're motivated to keep up this winning run and good form." The midfielder is part of the squad named by the Italian coach for the European outing.
