Liverpool’s win over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi final this week means they will be Chelsea’s opponent in next month’s final.

There are some pretty heavy duty games for both teams to get through before then, but we interest is already ramping up in expectation of the first domestic trophy of the season.

Jurgen Klopp has already revealed some of his team news too. His “cup keeper” throughout the tournament has been Caoimhín Kelleher, and Klopp confirmed that the young Irishman will play the final too, with the outstanding Alisson Becker on the bench.

That’s good news for Chelsea in theory – although Kelleher has been brilliant whenever he has played for the Reds, and is certainly in the team on merit, not just sentiment.

The youngster was excellent against Arsenal in both legs of the semi final, and will no doubt cause Chelsea problems in the final. The good news is that our first choice keeper, Edouard Mendy, will be back by then.
