MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup continues with Alianza FC hosting Liga Deportiva Alajuelense in Group A on Thursday at Estadio Nacional Jorge "El Mágico" González in San Salvador, El Salvador.
The encounter pits two teams that seek a victory to secure a spot in the top two in the group. Alianza FC is third with four points, separated from second place on tiebreakers, while CS Herediano is fourth with three points.
Alianza FC seeks to build on a 1-nil victory against Managua FC. Emerson Mauricio struck in the 54’ to secure the first three points for the Salvadoran giants.
LD Alajuelense are the defending champions and the only winners of the tournament, winning back-to-back editions. La Liga will seek to continue its hopes for a third consecutive title by building on its 2-1 win at Managua in matchweek two. Diego Campos and Kenyel Michel scored for the Costa Rican side in the victory.
