Alexis Vega plans to renew with Chivas to facilitate European switch

Time is running out for Chivas to secure a contract extension with attacker Alexis Vega, as he is free to start negotiating with other clubs beginning this summer.

However, all parties are confident of getting a deal done as the 24-year-old seems to have both his short-term and long-term plans figured out.

Vega has revealed to TUDN that he plans on extending his Chivas deal but only if they allow him to move to Europe when appropriate offers come in, without getting in his way.

“There is a clause that we are working on: renew and make it easier for me to go to Europe. It’s a dream that I see close.”

Ricardo Peláez and Amaury Vergara are working hard to get him to sign his new agreement, which also comes with a very significant 150% wage increase.
