Alexis Vega and Luis Olivas will be available to face Mazatlán

Chivas received a huge double injury boost on Monday as the medical department declared both Alexis Vega and Luis Olivas fit to face Mazatlán.

The duo fully participated in Monday’s training session alongside their team-mates and will most likely be used in their must-win clash on Friday.

Considering Chivas occupy the 12th and final spot while the three clubs directly below them still have a match to make up, it’s almost certain that Chivas have to take down Mazatlán in order to qualify for the play-in round.

América, Atlas, Tigres, and Toluca have already secured top-12 spots though the Eagles are the only team to have clinched a place in the quarter-finals.

For Mazatlán, they themselves are in 11th place, one point ahead of Chivas, so Friday’s clash will undoubtedly be a very tense affair.
