Barcelona captain Alexia Putellas is eager to win the Champions League again and confirmed that she has fully recovered from her knee injury and is ready to play in the final against Wolfsburg.
“I’m 100% fit. That is my situation and after that, it is up to the coach to decide how many minutes I play. Our job is to do our best,” Putellas said in words reported by Mundo Deportivo.
She continued: “Wolfsburg are among the best in Europe and any mistakes will generate a lot of danger.”
The Spain international also wanted to thank the support of the fans, who are travelling en masse to Eindhoven for the Champions League final.
“It is very important. I want to thank the efforts they are making. There are people who are coming by bus from Barcelona, which takes 15 hours. It’s an extra incentive to bring the cup back to Barcelona.”
The other Barça player who spoke at the press conference ahead of the Champions League final was Caroline Graham Hansen, who made no secret of the fact that it will be a special match against Wolfsburg after five seasons with the German side.
“It’s special for me. I was there for five years and I’ve experienced a lot. All I want is to win tomorrow. They are a good team, with a lot of quality, and if we win tomorrow it will be a sign that we are a good team,” she said.
