Barcelonaâs Alexia Putellas has won the Ballon dâOr FĂ©minin for the second successive year, becoming the first woman to win it back-to-back.
Arsenal and England forward Beth Mead came second, with Chelsea and Australia striker Sam Kerr coming third.
Putellas captained Barcelona to a domestic treble in 2022, scoring 34 goals in all competitions during the 2021/22 season.
Barça also reached the Champions League final last term where they were beaten by Lyon, but Putellas was still named the tournamentâs best player and the top scorer with 11 goals.
Sadly for the 28-year-old, a knee injury just days before Euro 2022 began meant she was unable to represent Spain at the tournament, but 2022 will still be remembered as the year she became La Rojaâs most capped player with 100 appearances.
Putellas also won the Uefa Womenâs Player of the Year award for the second successive year in 2022.
