Norwegian striker Alexander Sorloth will rejoin Spanish club Real Sociedad on loan from RB Leipzig, according to Bild.
He will undergo his medical tests today before joining the La Liga club on a one-year loan deal without an option to buy.
Leipzig will receive a €1.5 million loan fee for Sorloth and let him leave with Timo Werner taking his spot in the squad.
Sorloth will replace Alexander Isak at the Reale Arena after the Swedish striker joined Newcastle United for a club-record €70m.
Domenico Tedesco does not trust Sorloth and has given him only one appearance this season.
Sorloth spent last season on loan in San Sebastian. He scored four goals and created five big chances for the Basque club in 33 league appearances.
He also scored two goals in the Copa Del Rey, helping the club to reach the quarter-finals.
However, he was guilty of missing several big chances for Sociedad. The 26-year-old missed ten big chances in the league alone. He was number 11 for big chances missed.
He will have to improve his conversion rate to help Imanol Alguacil’s finish in one of the top six spots and make a long run in the cup and Europa League.
Sorloth is Sociedad’s fourth summer signing after securing Brais Mendes from Celta Vigo, promising French youth talent Mohamed Ali Cho from SCO Angers, and Takefusa Kubo from Real Madrid.
Sociedad have started their season well, winning two of the three opening games against Cadiz CF and Elche CF.
Between those victories, they lost 4-1 to Barcelona after putting up a good 65-minute fight.
Next week, they welcome Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid. It could be a chance for Sorloth to make his first appearance for the club after his move.
