There is totally deluded, then there is Teddy Sheringham.

The former Manchester United striker going beyond bizarre with these claims on Alexander Isak.

Not sure whether the nurse has let him out of her sight, or whether he has been on the cooking sherry.

Either way though, Teddy Sheringham coming out with possibly the worst January transfer window nonsense of all, which takes some doing, considering the competing ridiculous transfer stories.

Teddy Sheringham says that if a bid was made by Manchester United, Alexander Isak would consider moving to Old Trafford.

What planet is the former Man U player on?

Not sure where to start.

So Alexander Isak would leave Newcastle United who are competing for a Champions League place and are 2-0 up and 90 minutes from a cup final, for Manchester United who are fighting relegation?

Newcastle United a club on the up with a great manager, Manchester United a total mess and a manager who has only ever previously managed in Portugal and has totally struggled to cope in the Premier League. Plus, after the latest debacle at home to Brighton, Man U have lost seven of their last ten Premier League matches, winning only two – the latest of those two a very lucky late win at home to Southampton. Ruben Amorim has also just said that this could be the worst ever Man U team in the history of the club.

As for exactly where Manchester United would get the money to afford Alexander Isak…?

Teddy Sheringham is totally away with the mixer, why would Newcastle United have any interest in selling their best player, widely regarded as the best in the Premier League, in Europe, the World?

As for exactly why Alexander Isak would choose to go to Manchester United, if for some strange reason Newcastle United (who have the striker still with three and a half years left on his current contract) would sell him, it is just beyond belief why anybody would think that.

Manchester United have to pay over the odds just to get second and third rate players to go there, so why would a world class striker go to Old Trafford???

Looking back, Man U paid the best part of £100m for Paul Pogba in 2016, he looks the last time a supposedly world class player chose to go to Old Trafford nine years ago. When potentially he could have instead of gone to a number of top clubs. That ended well, Pogba running down his five year contract and Man U not getting a penny back for him. This a player who originally walked out on Man U as a 19 year old as well!

Anyway, hopefully Teddy Sheringham has had his medication by now and/or the cooking sherry bottle removed from his grasp…

Teddy Sheringham talking to BoyleSports about his old club Manchester United and Alexander Isak:

“Manchester United is still a massive draw for any player and playing for the club is still a highlight of anyone’s career.

“Would Alexander Isak consider joining Manchester United if a bid came in?

“Without a doubt.

“I’m not saying a deal will get done but he would be the perfect signing for Manchester United.
