Alexander Isak has reportedly told Newcastle he wants to explore a move away from the club this summer.
The Sweden international has been left out of Newcastle’s squad for the pre-season tour of Asia.
And the Daily Mail say Isak has informed Newcastle he would like to explore his options, and does not want to commit his long-term future to the club yet.
Liverpool would like to sign the 25-year-old but have just splashed out on the signing of striker Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Arsenal have also held interest in the forward, but look poised to complete the signing of Isak’s international team-mate Viktor Gyokeres.
Sky Sports report that Viktor Gyokeres is expected in London to finalise his contract with Arsenal ahead of a move from Sporting CP. It is then expected that he would link up with his new team-mates in Singapore.
But it is reported that Newcastle do not want to sell Isak and would command a British record fee to even consider doing so.
Meanwhile, the Telegraph say Tottenham are working on a deal to sign midfielder Joao Palhinha from Bayern Munich.
They also say Spurs have received enquiries from MLS side LAFC for captain Heung-min Son.
Fabrizio Romano claims Chelsea have agreed personal terms with target Jorrel Hato and that a deal is close to being finalised for the Blues to sign the Dutch defender.
ESPN also say Chelsea have stepped up their efforts to sign RB Leipzig forward Xavi Simons.
Pervis Estupinan has completed a move from Brighton to AC Milan.
Wolves have completed the signing of Jhon Arias from Brazilian side Fluminense on a four-year deal with the option of a further 12 months.
And BILD’s Christian Falk says Manchester United are set to enter the race to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.
