Alexander Isak is officially back with a bang for Newcastle.
The forward last featured for Eddie Howe’s side in last month’s Champions League defeat to Borussia Dortmund due to a groin injury.
But after missing the Magpies’ next seven games, Isak returned to lead the line for Saturday’s showdown with Chelsea at St James’ Park.
And it wasn’t long before the Sweden international marked his return in style by breaking the deadlock from Lewis Miley’s defence-splitting pass.
Although his opener was cancelled out just 10 minutes later by Raheem Sterling’s free kick, the hosts went on to rack up an emphatic 4-1 win.
And it all started with Isak’s well-taken opener.
