Lazio stalwart Alessio Romagnoli has reportedly said his farewells at Formello, as he appears destined to leave the club in the summer.
The 30-year-old is a lifelong Biancocelesti supporter who realized his dream by signing for his beloved club in the summer of 2022. The defender accepted a salary of €3 million per year, although he could have netted double in the Premier League.
At the time, Romagnoli was promised a salary increase in case of a Champions League qualification. But despite finishing the 2022/23 campaign in a remarkable second place, Claudio Lotito and Co. never kept their word. The player confirmed his dissatisfaction with the situation in his interview following the 1-1 draw against Juventus earlier this month.

In recent weeks, there have been talks over a slight salary adjustment, but as Il Messaggero (via Calciomercato) notes, this possibility is now off the table, especially with Lazio failing to book a place in any European competition after finishing 7th in the Serie A table.
So with his pay rise promise now in tatters, Romagnoli realised that the time has come to leave Formello. Hence, the source claims that the former Milan captain bid his Lazio teammates farewell in the locker room after the final contest of the season against Lecce.
The report claims the Italian centre-back has some offers in the Premier League, as well as rich suitors in the Saudi Pro League who will try to sway him through lucrative bids.
