Inter defender Alesandro Bastoni is set to return to the starting eleven for this evening’s Serie A clash with Juventus.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 22-year-old will look to regain his starting performance with a commanding display in the massive head-to-head match.

Bastoni dropped out of the starting eleven in the Nerazzurri’s midweek Champions League clash with Empoli, with Federico Dimarco taking his place in the back three, although he came on for Dimarco in the second half.

The defender has come in for some criticism for his performances this season, including for the handball which gave Lazio their penalty and way back into the match last weekend.

The 22-year-old will want to respond to these criticisms with a significant display against the Bianconeri, showing that he can cope with a difficult opponent from the first moment to last, and not lose his concentration for ninety minutes.
