Aleksandar Radovanovic has left Kortrijk to join UD Almeria in La Liga. The 30-year-old Serbian defender leaves on a free transfer after playing 11 times for the Kerels this season. He has gone from the side bottom of the Belgian Pro League to the side that are currently bottom of La Liga. Almeria are yet to win this season, with just six points from their 20 matches. Remarkably, they are only 10 points from safety.

Radovanovic leaves Kortrijk bottom of the Pro League, with the side having won twice and picked up 10 points. They need to bridge a growing 11 point gap to climb out of the bottom four and be guaranteed of safety.

The transfer brings to end an eventful time for the central defender in Belgium. After joining Kortrijk from Lens in the summer of 2021, the defender has been in and out of favour. Last season he spent the second half of the campaign on loan with Austin FC, before being in favour again when he returned. He leaves the side having made 59 appearances in all competitions.
