Aleksandar Mitrović upstaged Karim Benzema as Al Hilal and Al Ittihad met in Friday’s Saudi Pro League clash.

The reigning Ballon d’Or holder appeared to have helped his side into a commanding 3-1 lead, with his opposite number scoring a consolation.

But Mitrović returned from the half-time interval to strike twice in the space of five minutes to level up matters for the visitors.

Al Hilal went one better just five minutes later as Salem Aldawsari edged them ahead in an eventual seven-goal thriller.
